Kristin Foreman MS, RDN, CSSD

(she/her/hers)

Being a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist isn’t Kristin’s first career, but it’s the one she loves the most! Kristin is passionate about helping individuals reach their goals, improve their health, and help heal their relationship to food. Chances are, Kristin has probably struggled with some of the same things you may be struggling with. If you feel like you’ve been on a rollercoaster and “tried everything”, Kristin will work with you to discover wellness from within.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY & Other fun facts

Kristin is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and a board-certified specialist in sports nutrition. She has a Master’s degree (MS) in Nutrition from Bastyr University. Kristin started working in nutrition research during graduate school as part of a team of breast cancer scientists at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research in Seattle, WA. After completing clinical training at the VA, University, and Children’s Hospitals in Cleveland, OH, Kristin qualified as an MS RD. She worked with marginalized and underserved communities on issues around maternal, infant, and pediatric nutrition, as well as childhood feeding issues in Denver, CO then transitioned from public health to clinical nutrition and sleep medicine in Boulder, where she worked for five years. Kristin took a sabbatical after the birth of her child before returning to private practice.

Kristin and her son live in Boulder, Colorado where they both enjoy an active, outdoor lifestyle. She has also been deeply involved in DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusivity, and belonging) learning in her community for the past seven years and continues to grow every day.

Kristin's athletic achievements include two marathons (3:24 PR), Vineman and Boulder 70.3 Ironmans, summiting Mt. Whitney, numerous Olympic-distance triathlons, half-marathons, 10km, and 5km races. Aside from running and triathlon, Kristin also loves hiking, skate skiing, camping, making food with friends and family, and baking bread (a sport of its own, right?!). Her favorite vegetable is steamed artichoke with garlic balsamic mayonnaise. (The best way, I’m a Cali girl!)

In a prior life, Kristin worked in the wine industry in both the Napa Valley and southern Germany. Her undergraduate degree in International Relations & Foreign Affairs and German opened doors and enabled her to travel the world and work abroad in Germany, England, and the Cayman Islands. Living and working outside the United States gave Kristin a broader perspective on life, improved her own cultural competency, helped her gain a deeper appreciation for community, and fostered a growing desire to help people. Kristin knew she could draw on her own experiences as a life-long athlete, the health challenges she faced, and her own recovery from an eating disorder to make a positive difference in people’s lives. It’s a journey. Let’s get started!!!
