Cogs and Synergy

It. is. not. just. one. thing.

While I’m quite biased in my belief that our daily nutrition patterns play a key role in numerous aspects of our health, well-being, and ability to tackle our own bucket list of adventures, nutrition is not the only piece of our day-to-day that matters.

But it doesn’t mean you need to pay less attention to nutrition. It’s one cog in the wheel of your own “how well can I thrive” formula.

The kicker is that to be high on the Thrive-ability Scale, we gotta give attention to all the bits and pieces individually and then to how all of those pieces are supporting each other (or not).

Don’t get me wrong. I definitely high five those who start up a new exercise or training program, delve into optimizing nutrition for their current life cycle stage and health/fitness goals, or ask for what they need from their support system. Each cog in the wheel needs its own Hell, Yeah shout out.

But if you have tackled one of these areas and feel like it didn’t get you as far as you’d like, it’s possible there’s another cog that needs attention. Or even the cog you’re addressing needs a bit more fine-tuning.

It’s never too late to invest in your Thrive Wheel or take a fresh look at the interconnectedness of the beautiful cogs. And once we get all those cogs lubed up, sharpened, aligned… well, who knows how far or how high you’re gonna go, friends.
